Grooming Policy

We require a current copy of your pets’ vaccination records. Rabies vaccination is required annually by the State of Louisiana. DHLP-Parvo & Bordetella (Kennel Cough) are needed for the protection of your pet. This policy is strictly enforced. If no proof is provided, we will have to confirm vaccination with your Veterinarian BEFORE you leave your pet at our facility.

We Reserve the Right to Refuse Service.

In order to provide our clients with the best care Bark Avenue works By Appointment Only. If you are 30 minutes late for your scheduled appointment you will likely have to reschedule for another day. Please feel free to call us is you see you may be running behind and we will try and accommodate you.

Every effort will be made to keep our scheduled grooms running smoothly. A typical pet groom can be completed in 3 to 5 hours from the time of your appointment. If your pet has behavior issues or skin and coat problems you may be looking at a longer period of time. If you need your pet returned by a certain time please let us know Prior to the groom. We are happy to work with you as much as possible, but repeated calls to check on the readiness of your pet only causes further delay.

Three Strike Policy: In order to provide our clients with the best care Bark Avenue works "By Appointment Only". Our appointments are important to us. If a pet or family misses 3 scheduled appointments with out calling prior to the missed appointments

you may be required to pay a $30. MISSED APPOINTMENT FEE before being allowed to schedule another appointment.

DEMATTING Fees: Allowing a pets coat to get matted is not only very UNCOMFORTABLE, but DANGEROUS for your pet. You will be required to sign a liability waiver, and be charged additional fees for these grooms. We will only perform hair cuts we feel appropriate under these conditions. The haircut of a matted pet will look “rough” and may not be the “show trim” the owner was hoping to achieve. Routine grooming and skin care at home by the owner can eliminate these problems and allow us to give the correct cut.

If your pet is found to have parasites, we will treat this condition appropriately and there may be additional charges of $3 to $5. After your pets groom, we offer Advantage for $5.00, but application usually doesn't last between 4 – 6 week grooms if your pet is subjected to parasites.

A $30 NSF Fee will be charged on all checks that are not honored by the Bank.
